1. Who now manages the resort with Hilton Grand Vacations buying into it?
The Crane’s overall ownership is the same and the resort continues to be managed by the existing management team. Under the partnership, The Crane is required to meet minimum Hilton Grand Vacations service and maintenance standards on an ongoing basis, and The Crane’s management and staff benefit from training opportunities with the brand.
2. How will the resort be branded?
The Crane, since 1887, continues to be the overall brand of the property. Within Hilton’s network, and at the front entrance to the resort, it is identified as Hilton Grand Vacations at The Crane.
3. Am I able to exchange into other Hilton Grand Vacations timeshare properties?
The Crane has negotiated an agreement on behalf of existing owners to ensure that you – whether you own fixed weeks or points – have the opportunity to exchange into a selection of Hilton Grand Vacations properties worldwide. 4. Am I able to use my HHonors points at The Crane or Hilton properties worldwide?
Only Hilton Grand Vacations or HHonors members are able to use HHonors points at Hilton properties. HHonors points will not be applicable at The Crane.
5. Am I still able to use Crane Points to book at The Crane, and will there be any availability?
Yes, all Crane members who own points, or are banking their fixed weeks for points, still have the option to trade within The Crane, East Resort and to our affiliate resorts in Encore Club.
6. Will there be any physical changes on the property to make it an HGV resort?
Besides the entrance signage, there will be ongoing maintenance requirements to meet Hilton Grand Vacations standards. We anticipate that this will result in additional refurbishment work, on a scheduled basis, over the next several years. These works will be paid for out of the overall fee contribution from both Crane members and Hilton Grand Vacations Club members.
7. Will there be further expansion and/or construction at The Crane?
In the first part of the HGV purchase, the company will be buying into existing inventory. There is an option for them to execute a later purchase, which would involve construction of the remaining Park units, as per the existing master site plan for the development.
Note: The Crane Private Residences condo units remain on schedule for planned additional development with sales for Phase 4. These are not included in the HGV purchase.
8. Will HGV purchase resale weeks?
At this time, there are no current plans by HGV to purchase resale weeks.
9. Will The Crane Management add more amenities and services to match the increased occupancy from a large ownership base?
The HGV purchase takes our ownership to levels that were always intended in the master resort plan. Therefore, it will potentially allow The Crane’s management to accelerate some items on the master plan, including two additional restaurants and a dedicated resort spa. We anticipate that these additional amenities and services will be added on a phased basis, as demand requires.
10. Has HGV required my in-room amenities package to change?
No. Our standard in-room amenity package remains the same for all Crane Owners. If you are missing an item from your room, please contact Front Desk to have this item replaced.
